Central Valley Homeschoolers have had an
awesome month where their serious work has been rewarded with serious play!
To begin with, all staff and students worked diligently to complete the CST’s with success, and before make-ups were even finished, teacher/parent/student meetings were in full swing. In the midst of all the meetings, teachers were planning graduation and working hard to complete the many and varied end-of-year tasks.
On the lighter side, the month was not all
seriousness and responsibility – two field trips, a picnic/swim party, and the
eighth grade outing at Blackbeard’s – our students had fun! This year, our students were not the only
ones enjoying some well-earned rewards.
For the first time ever, the CVHS staff celebrated the year’s end away
from the office – a Grizzlies game held in “the box” at Grizzly’s Stadium! (Thanks to Sandi Swanson for arranging this
very special event.)
As the year concludes, we reflect with pleasure
on the successes we have had with our homeschool families, and we look forward to
the changes planned for the future with excitement.
