CVHS Commercial

Recently, Misti Jennings and Marcus Johnson attended PBS’ Kids Nite at the Zoo. It was a huge success. Over 3,000 people attended the event and Misti made lots of great connections. They gave out lots of backpacks and pens with the CVHS name on them, so there was name recognition all over the zoo!

In addition, a 15-second commercial is running on PBS through the end of September and then CVHS will reassess to see if they need to extend. Here is the link to the commercial:

If you know of anyone out of the area whom you think would be interested in home schooling, please have them contact Misti at 559-897-6740.  We will also post the link to the commercial on our blog so you can share it with them.

Roosevelt Elementary School Newsletter - September 2015

THE ROOSEVELT ROUGHRIDER

Character Counts
I am pleased to announce we will be introducing our Character Counts program during the month of September! The students will be learning a pledge and will be reciting it together every morning in the auditorium. This month we are focusing on the Character Trait of RESPONSIBILITY. On the walls of classrooms and in our hallways students are displaying their understanding of
this trait through writing and group activities. I have seen many students earning “Caught with Character” tickets and look forward to our first drawing this week. Roosevelt is definitely “Letting Their Character Shine!”
