Reagan Elementary School - October 2015 Newsletter

On Friday, September 18, Kingsburg High School invited our local elementary schools to participate in their annual Elementary Night.   Our top sellers for our Magazine Sales were honored at the game.  These students were able to run through the tunnel and be on the field as their name was read.  As a school, we brought in over $38,000 in total sales.!  We will be able to keep 37.5% of these monies, so thank you for your support of our Mustangs as we strive to continue to provide a quality education for our students.

On Wednesday, September 30, Former Pro Basketball player and South Dakota State University Hall of Famer, Tanya Crevier and her nephew Caleb Crevier swooped into Reagan for a fun-filled assembly.  The duo completed many tricks involving spinning, juggling, and bouncing basketballs.  At one point Caleb got up onto his ten foot unicycle and rode around the outdoor stage area, spinning two basketballs at the same time.  The Crevier’s brought an important message of GAME (Goals, Attitude, Morals, Excellence) to our Mustangs.  They stressed the importance of Never Giving Up and working hard towards your dreams and aspirations.  Students and staff members came away stating that this was a great assembly with a powerful message.  We would like to thank the Crevier’s and Champions For Tomorrow for bringing these inspirational people to our school.

BAND

The Band March-a-Thon is quickly approaching.  Our annual event will be held on Wednesday, October 28 as our Mustangs will join with the Rafer Johnson band and march through town and back to Reagan.  If you would like to assist in any way, please contact Mrs. Sigle or Mr. Awbrey.

CHOIR

Mr. Merritt recently held auditions for Honor Choir and 43 Mustangs will now makeup the class.  Honor Choir will meet on select Wednesdays after school.
