PBIS—Positive Behavioral Interactions and Supports

Island Community Day School Staff are currently being trained to implement PBIS. This champion model will allow us to implement proactive, school-wide prevention practices. We are really excited about this shift and the possibilities that it can have for our students. We have seen how this framework has benefited other sites in our district and are more than happy to begin
implementation. Your students may come home telling you we expect them to ROCK. This is absolutely true.

Champions for Tomorrow—Tanya Crevier and Caleb Crevier

ICDS students had a great time at a recent assembly with Tanya Crevier and Caleb Crevier. These champions had a positive and inspirational message: Enthusiasm wins the GAME (Goals, Attitude, Morals, Ethics). This theme was interwoven throughout the show where they spun several balls, juggled, show-cased their acrobatic skills, and rode on a unicycle 10 feet in the air! Champions don’t give up, they keep trying. Students were even given a playing card autographed by Tanya.
