Rafer Johnson Jr. High School - October 2015 Newsletter

Shaun Harper from Champions For Today

Shaun Harper played in the NFL for 7 years. He talked to students about “breaking free from the chains that hold them back” He had them laughing and cheering as he showed us his strength. Students were encouraged to share what was on their heart.

Rafer Johnson 1st Annual Color Run

We held our 1st Color Run on Oct. 1st. It was so much fun! We want to thank our many parent and community volunteers for their help. We got to splash color on students as they ran over 4 miles!

We also had almost $1,000 in community business donations towards this fundraiser. Students gathered pledges to help raise money for field trips, assemblies, and other fun activities.

PRIDE MATRIX

This is called our PRIDE Matrix. All students have seen it. It is posted in all classrooms at Rafer. Is lists out the expectations in our school.
