There is a family in our district who is currently going through a difficult time. The Benitez family found out that their father was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer and is not eligible for a transplant. The father, Johnny, is the only person in the family working. The doctor gave him 6 months. All three of the children are students in our schools, two of them here at Reagan. The Benitez family representative reached out to me and asked if I could pass the word along about the Go Fund Me account that has been set up to help the family.
