2nd Grade Spotlight - Miss Lozano's Class

The students in room 32 have become research specialists!! They have been studying the life cycles of various animals, including ants, butterflies, and even frogs! On April 21st, the students took a field trip to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo and were able to see some of the animals they have been learning about up close! Students are now busy collecting research with QR codes, typing their reports, and labeling diagrams to go with their informative writing! The students in room 32 have also been busy learning about measurement! They have been gaining practice using measurement tools such as rulers, yardsticks, and measuring tapes. They are looking forward to finding different ways to practice their new measuring skills.

3rd Grade Spotlight - Mrs. Casida's Class

Mrs. Casida and the third grade classes had the privilege of the Fresno Chaffee Zoomobile visiting with them. We met them in room 14 and they spoke to us about animal adaptations and unique features of 4 specific animals. The children were introduced to animals such as the hissing cockroach, the European Hedgehog, the ferret, and the parakeet. It was a very informational time and the children learned a lot.
