Brianna Linder, a 7th grade student at Rafer Johnson Jr. High School, made the All-State Symphonic Band, which is the top band for her instrument (trumpet). This is a huge accomplishment and everyone is very excited. The conference will be held in Fresno this year on February 22. Next year it moves back to San Jose. It will be a free concert should anyone who wish to attend.
Brianna also made 1st chair in the Fresno Madera County Honor Band. There were two other students that made the bands as well. Lana Drincic on clarinet (3rd chair honor band) and Mikayla Peters on trumpet (4th chair Honor Orchestra). We are very excited for all of them. Thank you for supporting the music department.
