On March 5, 2014, Todd Towsley, owner of Integrative Brand Management, was honored at the Fresno Compact Business-School Awards luncheon in Fresno.
The Kingsburg Elementary Charter School District
has partnered with Todd Towsley, owner of Integrative Brand Management, for the
past three years in order to support the district's school programs and
provide educational opportunities for children.
Todd has helped create fundraising campaigns for the Kingsburg Educational Foundation, bringing in over $30,000 through events such as a summer 2013 community-wide event, "School's Out! Party in the Park."
Todd's contributions have made it possible for the school district to provide over $10,000 in teacher grants through the Reach the Teach program, which funded Science Camp scholarships, high-powered telescopes for innovative astronomy classes, home economics supplies, high-tech equipment for the woodshop, and field trips to sites such as the Civil War Revisited, Burris Park Museum, and the Legion of Valor Museum.
In describing why he donates his time, finances and expertise, Todd shared that he feels that his involvement allows him to understand the daily mission of the district, to show that he appreciates the difficult task they have, and to demonstrate his support of the district's efforts.

The Jog-a-thon was a
great success! Once again, Kingsburg’s students, parents, and the school
staff pulled together to accomplish a great fundraiser that also promotes
physical fitness for our students. The
proceeds from this fundraiser pay for field trip admissions and transportation,
assemblies, playground equipment, extra educational materials, and trophies. The staff wishes to thank you for your
support in this great event! There will
be some photos of the kids jogging on our website if you were unable to come
cheer your child on. I will have the grand total to announce in
next month’s newsletter.
Speaking of
fundraisers, our second Box Tops for Education submission was sent in this
month, and we will receive $630. That
brings our total for the year to over $1510!
Thank you for all the time cutting them out and sending them
in-please continue to do so for our next submission.

Roosevelt Elementary School - March 2014
Jr. Achievement Day
At the end of
February our school participated in Jr. Achievement Day with employees from
Guardian Industries. What a special
event for our Roosevelt students and the
many Guardian volunteers that came to work with our students. The classrooms were filled with excitement
and students eager to participate in the lessons. I would like to thank Guardian Industries for
donating 492 box tops to our school!
Their generosity is greatly appreciated and our students will benefit
from their efforts!
Parent Club
On behalf of the faculty and students of Roosevelt, thank you to the parent club for their assistance with providing goodies and
lunch for our guests and staff on Junior Achievement Day! Additionally, their efforts in collecting
donations for the read-a-thon also need to be recognized. It takes a team to make a school site run
efficiently.
Read-A-Thon
Our 5th
annual Read-A-Thon was held on Friday, February
21st from 8:30 – 11:30
am. The purpose of the Read-A-Thon is to celebrate our students as
readers and raise funds for field trips, assemblies, playground needs, etc. This is Roosevelt’s only fundraiser and this
year with your help, we raised $6876.91!!
Thank you for your support, the students and staff appreciate your
efforts!
